I bought a 20 inch Armalite with 1000 rounds of Sellior and Belliot STEEL case .223 ammo today. I paid $800 for whole kit.  It hasa  funky muzzle break that is permanetly attached with no bayonet lug. The weapon has not been fired much and is in good shape. Green furniture was installed.

The couple questions  are Did I get took?

Does anyone have good or bad experience with this S&B steel cased ammo?

Thanks in advance for any help you may give.

I don't think you got took...sounds like a pretty good deal to me actually.

I have no information on the ammo.

Ammo is worth about $125.00.

That means you paid about $675 for the rifle.

Do you like the rifle?

I'd say you did fine.

I have an Armalite like that and it is a great shooter.  More accurate than some of my other ARs.

If it is in good shape as described then you got a decent deal.  The ammo should be worth about $140 by itself.  That means you got a great shooting AR for $660.

He threw in 6 30 round mags and a 5 rounder. I have never fired steel case ammo before. Actually never heard of S&B steel but I don't know alot in that area anyway.

Thanks for the replies. I love this forum. You guys are great!

Sounds like a real good deal. If the gun functions and shoots the ammo OK, thenyou got a deal.

If it sights in OK and will shoot a few mags without any failures, I'd say you have a winner.

Thanks for all the input.

Field tested on Sunday. Fired 200 rounds. No malfunctions. The sights are set all the way to the right. It is dead on but windage adjustment left. What do y'al think about that ?
