Where is the best place to acquire some of these?.. I am going to buy the new RRA LAR .308 when it comes out and need a source. I am glad it uses FAL mags!

DSArms had "good condition" steel Steyer mags with the witness holes in the back for $5.  Not sure if they still do or not.

Also, Interordnance had a high quantity package deal on the same mags.  I bought a while back, so you may have to do some checking for the best current deal.

I prefer the Steyer (Austrian) mags for what it's worth.

I'm told the steel mags are best.

I got a 10-pack SEALED box of Belgian Manufacture (50s era?) steel mags in MINT condition for $100 about a year ago or so from Tapco...maybe longer? Damn... I can't recall.... Anyhoo, been kicking myself ever since that I didn't buy more.

I believe CDNN has new in wrapper steel ones @ $10. EA.  THEY and TAPCO have used ones in decent shape for less, as well.
