I have received a P38, that has at some time been stripped and parts went missing.

I am missing the whole slide assembly, and the little pivot that locks the barrel in, as well as the slide hold open.

So in essence all i have is  the frame, grips, with trigger, hammer and all that fun stuff, and the mags....

is there anywhere I can look to for parts? or a complete slide assembly?

Is it an alloy or steel frame? There are differences in the safety decocker from the wartime (steel) guns and the post war(alloy) guns.  I have never tried to put a post war upper on a wartime gun so not sure that it makes a difference. Ebay is likely to have the parts you need. Keep in mind a current import P1 is only about $285-$300 for the whole thing.

it is an alloy frame

as for the cost, I live in Canuckastan, I would have to double te cost to import it up here an ddeal with all the registry tape, this frame is already registered, so if I can get the parts, I will

I was looking at marstar, but I can not see a slide on their list, and I may or may not need moreparts

I can't find a picture of the pistol withthe slide and barrel removed, I have the Frame, the hammer and trigger and girps (the hammer cocks and the trigger will trip it, or even cycle it, good 'ol DA) It also has a hole where the barrel catch normall lives, adn ahole where the slide stop normally lives, as near as I can tell. I do not think there is anything else missing, though I am looking hard ot figure it out

If I can I will try and post pictures

Log on over here P-38 FORUM. There are several collectors that live in Canada and a few that sell parts. I think one gets to strip the parts off of confiscated guns before they are destroyed.
Good Luck!

This thread has me thinking that a Man from U.N.C.L.E. gun should be on my short list.
