A little known fact:

If you renounce your citizenship, the IRS seizes 50% of everything you own. They feel that the only reason you would give up your citizenship is to avoid paying taxes, so they want to be sure to strip you of whatever they can before you're allowed to leave. America is a prison with no walls.

For expatriate living, try Costa Rica or New Zealand. I have heard good things about both.

I forgot about Finland. Home of the sauna, Sako rifles, Lapua ammo, Nokia phones... And beautiful women. If you can stand 18hrs. of dark during the Winter, this might be a good place to live. Learn to like Vodka.[;)]

We all feel ya on this subject. One of my frieds ran into some ass wipe that volunteers his time in a communist book store in berkley. This butt nugget had the gall to say that this... no MY COUNTRY sucks! And that communism was the way to go. At least my friend had a half an argument with him.. he said "show me one instance where communism has worked". That dumb ass just starred at him blankly and mumbled some excuse.

Dood... the only way we can make a difference is to take over, and change it from the inside out.

Mate, I am not an American, but face it all though every country has its problems, if alls you gotta wory about is paying the bills, it sure beats the lack of rights in other countries. Such as freedom of expression, gungrabbers, religious restrictions, dodging sniper bullets, car bombs, suicide bombers, etc.

I reckon you are a fool to leave the USA, just try another state, maybe Montana, or the Dakotas. Get out in the open air, proper seasons, and genuine people.

Never give up your rights as an American which so many have fought and died for.

On the other side. America. Love it or leave it! But shitlands like eastern Europe is no place to go.

If you cannot be happy in America, where else can you be happy.

i'll check my disgust at the topic in general...

but you need to check the rates of taxation (income, VAT, ...) in most other countries before you think you'll be getting a better deal over there.

most other countries will require MORE taxes on your dollar. and what you don't pay in taxes, you'll pay to grease the palms of the bastards that you need something from (cops, gubmint workers, ...).

for your tax dollar in the US, you get more public services, and protection for your person, property, and rights than you could ever get in ANY foreign nation. wise up, kid.

ever spent 5 hrs in a 40yr old jeep on an unpaved road, only to get into a tiny boat after wading through 1/4 mile of low tide muck to spend a week on a beautiful island that has electricity for only 3 hrs of the day and no running water...?? wheeeee. and that's livin' it up in the third world. oh, did i mention that at any time you could be accosted by groups of armed thugs, or armed police, or armed military, and have everything (including your life) taken from you?? this ain't Kansas we're talkin' 'bout.

why don't you go VISIT a foreign country before you start talking about throwing away something that most of this world's population would kill for...and that your forefathers DIED for...

By the way, Isreal is pretty much the only country more pro-gun than America. But, then you'd have to use most your ammo. to kill the Palestinian Snipers before they kill you. There are many countries in a quasi state of Anarchy where you can do whatever the hell you want, but you might end up with a dictator once the Anarchy ends. Holland might be good, but aren't they anti-gun ?
