I recently installed a GE Nautilus dishwasher. It worked fine for a couple of uses. Now, the manual timer dial doesn't move forward. It usually takes a little over an hour to complete. I had to manually turn off the dishwasher. I don't know how to fix it. There's nothing in the user's manual about it. It happened again today.

Can anyone help?

This got pushed back 13 pages.
Anyway, I wanted to bump it to the top so anyone who may know could help out. Please.

When you say "manual timer" do you mean one of those dials that you twist and then it moves?

Those things are timer motors with all sorts of gears and stuff inside. You may have just gotten a bad one. Easy to replace.

Is the knob hard to turn or does it feel like there is slop in it?

Yesterday, I tried to run it again from "Short Wash". It (manually moving timer dial) moves forward but the tub isn't draining.
The dishwasher drain pipe is clear, the air gap is clear, the pipe from the air gap to the disposal unit is clear.
I can manually move the timer dial forward without any problems. I can't get it to engage to pump water out. :(
