ok.. tried some: New Belgium 1554 Brussels style black ale.

that is good stuff!  I am porter and stout fan, also enjoy some good ales but man this is a really good beer.  If you can find it, I highly suggest it.  even if you are not a beer person.

It's also extremely good while loading mags and watching stargate SG-1

I find if i pour it to where it gasses off a tad it is a little less fillng, dont pour it down the side pour it directly do the bottom, there is not much head with this beer.

but I do agree, new belgium makes some good stuff!

I found it and liked it.    What temperature do you serve it at?  Seems like real cold isn't the way to go.

I also like Sierra Nevada Porter

I let it sit on the counter for a few min, and like most darker beers the flavors seem to come out a little better.  I totally agree that the darker beers tend to have more flavor when they are a tad warmer.  If i recall correctly room temp in europe is about 65F where as room temp here in the US is a bit warmer.  I think most darker beers are better when they are in the low 60's

I will have to try the Sierra Nevada Porter if i find it!
