I arrived behind enemy lines (Kalifornia) in order to support a contract I am on. Just being here gives me the creeps! The first thing I noticed driving in is all the 'threat' signs (fines and jail for doing x,y or z). Then the border, er "fruit" check (I thought being part of the U.S. required free access borders between the states). Then there is the mere knowledge that, were I to live my life here exactly as I did in Wyoming I would be in prison for hundreds of years (ten years for each 'assault rifle'). I feel like I was in Saudi Arabia- the knowledge that if I behaved like I did at home (have a beer or two, not pray constantly, talk to women) I'd be in prison/be hanged/have my hand cut off. Trying to stay low; not draw any attention to myself. There might be laws I am not aware of (can I legally access Arfcom from here?). Conserving food and water. I hope to be out and back in the Free World in a couple of days. Over. |
