What's everyone's opinion on this? Or does anyone have any experience -- or know someone who's pursued this avenue of finding a significant other? For me, I'm just tired of and burned out on American women. No offense to the female members of this forum, but I'm 33 and after 18 years of dating, it's been the same thing time and time again with the American women being too materialistic or pulling some kind of drama. Additionally, it seems since the late 1990s (when I was in my mid-20s), women are becoming more like men -- focused on working 60 hours a week (heck, I only do 50ish), drinking excessively, getting rather porky as the relationship ages, constant partying and hangovers and just being overall slobs. Well, I don't want to date or marry a man. I'd like to have a family with 2 or 3 kids. Too many women nowadays have been indoctrinated by the feminazi establishment and don't want kids at all. What a shame. I've tried just about every avenue of meeting someone, online dating sites, friends of family, friends of friends, blind dates, grocery stores, church, social events, through work contacts. For me, I've concluded that it [dating] has become too drawn out of a process for too little potential return and too high potential risk of loss of net worth (divorce because of "irreconcilable differences ") and emotional trauma. I've read that divorce happens in less than 20% of marriages to foreign women whereas between 50% and 60% of marriage to American women will result in divorce. I dated a Korean woman (here as a student/permanent resident) in 2005 for about 10 months -- and it has been incredibly difficult to go back to dating American women. |
| I saw a program on it once on Discovery or something. Seemed like some of those women were pretty nice. Downside was most of the time they didn't speak much English so you're going to have to teach her. Lots of them have kids that don't speak English either. Then you always have to wonder if she's only interested because she wants to get her green card or citizenship to get out of Russia or wherever. |
As opposed to always having to wonder about an American woman only interested in getting her 50%+ of my net worth, after the $2,500 to $25,000+ expenditure of dating, wedding costs and honeymoon costs. Hmmm |
No offense, but there are two common threads in the women you have dated. 1) they are American. 2) you. What is that principle about the simplest explanation generally being the correct one? Matt |
women cost money and are always after something. they are *ahem* EEEVVVIIIILLLLLL |
You're right. American women are just about universally F'ed up!!! |

A good friend met a girl while working in Russia, married her, brought her back to Wyoming. She was fantastic for a while, they had a child and she was well liked, but never seemed comfortable. My friend said she was having trouble adapting to the cowboy culture. She met a few Russian people already in Wyoming, and within months they had told her how to get a divorce, remain a citizen, get all his stuff, you know the rest. Turns out there is a real concerted effort to continue doing this and to buy real estate and small businesses, esp used car businesses and tobacco stores, all wholly Russian controlled. The bond seems to be very strong among them, certainly too stong for my friend to overcome, at least. Just one story, but a real lesson for us here. |

Hell no! How's it working out for you? |

I'd steer clear of Russian brides - too much old-world connections to worry about. Yes, I know two people who have married foreign brides. One is a client I only met once - he has a Phillipino wife and has nothing but good things to say about her and her family. He's stopped contributing to his 401(K) and is putting his retirement money into real estate in the Phillipines. Has his father-in-law scouting good deals on income-producing property and managing it for him. My brother-in-law is married to a wonderful Phillipino woman. She was a 30-year-old never-married teacher in Sebu, and all the good husband prospects for her back home considered her to be an old maid and past her child-bearing prime. My BIL was sick of American women and already had three sons, so he didn't want anymore either. His wife is the best thing that ever happened to him, and she's cute as the dickens to boot! He did travel there to meet her and her family before bringing her here. But keep in mind that regardless of where she comes from, once she's your wife it's just like any other marriage - you can't send her packing without a 50/50 split of marital assets. If you start having doubts and thinking about a pre-nup agreement, you need to stop and reconsider whether it's your big head or your little head doing the talking on the issue of getting married. Any way you go, you have to be able to trust your woman. |
And you think importing a cute Russian chick to be your wife is going to be better?? Hardly. |
Why not just fly down to Australia!!!!! The girls down there have money and love American men!! Guys told me how when there ship docked in Australia girls where throwing balls with there phone numbers on them. All you go to do is treat her like you would any American girl who takes paying for food opening the door or just buying a drink for her for granite. Trust me take a trip down there go in to a bar and ask one of them if you could buy them a drink and you will see what you get. A buddy of mine still gets gifts from the girl he meet down there two years ago. I've been to Australia men treat there woman like crap so its there bust!!! |
so quick to be dismissive... have you ever even tried it? |
Came across a guy that owned the one on the right. He kept the doll bound and gagged in a horizontal wooden box in the corner of his living room. Scared the heck out of me when I first glimpsed it. He had it dressed in bra, panties and a blindfold.
|
My only concern would be is that their brothers back in Odessa were in the russian mob and get upset if I sent one back fedex |
Dude! You were told not to discuss that. |
|
That's just disgusting.... |
Remember that site with the guy that had two of them?

Geeezee, I musta lucked out or something. I like my American wife just fine. We are coming up on 38 years married and we dated for a year and a half before marriage. That said, she is Mexican-American. The MA culture at the time when I met her was much like the Irish-American culture that was dying out in our neighborhood where I grew up. The cultures were extremely similar, family and church orientated, except for the language and the better tasting Tex-Mex food. And, of course, the Senoritas are very exotic, feminine and pretty to my eye...and they are very nice too. Sadly, the Mexican-American culture is going the way of the Irish culture, sort of. Divorce and fooling around are now common place. Many don't speak Spanish, but perhaps half do. The large families of the past are gone, mostly. Now the trend is to have none or one or two kids after college or learning a trade and to live in the suburbs and all that stuff. The Catholic faith is being replaced by various Protestant denominations or by no official religion. But the excellent tasting food remains as do the beautiful women and the laid back ambience. Hmmmm, all the advantages of a foriegn bride but born and raised in the USA. Don't tell anybody, lets keep it our secret. There is nothing here in SA to see, move along. He he. |
What's your point? I am 25 and have been married to my wife for a little over 3 years. We couldn't be happier. To all the guys looking for a slave instead of a partner, just get a hooker. It'll be cheaper in the long run.

let's face it western culture is screwed up nobody makes "decisions" anymore, only "compromises" female self esteem levels are so incredibly low that the majority of them don't see a problem in trying to rob another human being of half their net worth. As badly as muslims treat their women, it is still a better system, by "better" I of course mean "functional". The only real reason for this is because everybody knows the rules. We don't have that luxury anymore in western society. Here are some ground rules for a better world 1. DO NOT make compromises, "Compromise" just means you reserve the right to blame each other later for failure. 2. DO NOTHING that you wouldn't freely tell your spouce about (i.e. seeing your ex for lunch) 3. Oral sex is required |
| I would have to agree, Most guys that resort to mail order brides and such, lack social skills bigtime. Saying American women don't have it , the dude has some issues. Maybe he has the bar set way to high, nothing like the guy that wants model material, but we all know the chub club is where he belongs. |
The only person I've personally known who got a mail order Russian bride was a shifty-looking older man. I later found out that he was on the sex offender registry for indecent exposure to children.![]() The sicko sold his house and left town about the time the neighborhood found out what kind of person he was. |
|
The only negative thing I have heard about Russian brides, and this is only a rumor, is what they have to do to get clearance or permission to leave the country. Most are poor so bribes have to be paid in other ways I was married to a Korean woman for 10 years. In the beginning it was great because she was very different than American women and it was refreshing on lots of levels. In the end though, they can be just as nutty. |
|
A buddy of mine got desperate enough (he's about 5'11" 300lbs and the most gross, foul individual you would ever meet in your life) he traveled over and arranged for a woman from Thailand if I remember right to come over. Did all the paperwork , paid all the fees and got her the airline ticket. She had to change planes in L.A. and was never seen again, he was out several $$$$. |

My first marriage was to a girl from Kentucky. That lasted about 15 years. I hear she swelled up like a blimp shortly after our divorce in 1997. I have been married to a beautiful woman from Panama since 1999. She still weighs in at 95 pounds (as she did on our wedding day). I'm much happier with my current wife than the previous one on every level: My current wife is much better in the bedroom, keeps a much cleaner house, is more loving and "womanly" than the previous wife & is very meticulous about her appearance and clothing. She's also a hell of a lot more friendly than the other one was! I can highly recommend women from Central/South America as wives/companions. Before I met my current wife, I had several, shall we say "motivated" candidates from Colombia, Peru & Panama that I was friendly with. ETA: I forgot to mention she wasn't a mail order bride. I met her during my last tour in Panama from 1997 to 1999. MSgt, USAF 1984 to present |
Ouch. I bet that left a mark. |
Question 1: NO Question 2: Yeah, there's no problem with me. |
