Have you read the books?

Actually, if you like that sort of thing, you should read the hornblower series by C.S. Forrester.

Some seriously good literature there, much better than the Aubrey drivel.

Jack Aubrey v. the Pocket Battleship Graf Spee.  Of course, Capt. Hans Langsdorff exercises restraints and doesn't resort to his 11" guns or his 5.9" guns.  Rather, he relies on his dual 88 mm guns (or were they 105mm?) to take out that Aubrey's wooden man o' war.

Probably not. The first one didn't make it's budget back.

If you are interested in more movies about the Napoleonic era British fleet check out the Horatio Hornblower series from A&E.

...and Aubrey counterattacks by making Langsdorff think the longboat is actually the Surprise, and wins the engagement by inventing limpet mines and Fairey Swordfish biplanes, loaded with torpedoes...

Actually I liked the movie a LOT and would love to see another installment.

Not a chance. It was a pretty good quality movie, I thought. But it didn't have what most people want, apparently.

Highly recommended. I bought the box set at Borders and it was great.
