Hey MT & medic, I was in both as a kid. It's a great way to learn a lot about Ag. Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Basic Medicine, Entomology, ect. Most of the kids will have a "project" such as a calf, lamb, pig, ect. to help with the "hands on learning. I would highly recommend it for anyone planning on taking any Ag related courses in college. As for the Rodeo end of it--they don't do that, but some of the other students in class prob. do after school and on weekends. They learn how to take care of just about anything on a farm or a ranch. It's a great ways to make lots of like minded friends. I loved it. |
