[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about IM service

I tried searching for my answer, but I don't even know how to phrase the question, so have pity on me.

What is the archive feature in the IM program. You know.

Instant Messages/Messaging?
Internal Messaging/Messages?
Idon'tknowwhatitMeans?

The messaging system here. How does the Archive function work?

When you archive your IMs they are removed from the site and emailed to the address you have associated with your account.

Thus freeing up space.
