I just found out about Paypal's antigun attitude and have closed my account. I almost never cruise the boards other than the equipment exchange so forgive me if this topic has been discussed earlier. A dealer told me of Paypal's policy and I was shocked. I had an account with them for several years. We need some kind of note in the equipment exchange boards, for the people, such as myself, who only surf there. I will do my part and inform as many people as I can regarding Paypal's active determination to abolish our United States Bill of Rights and our free way of life. The very nature of Paypal's policy attacks our traditions, beliefs, and customs that our founding fathers fought so hard to protect, and that the men and women in our armed forces are fighting to protect at this very moment. You closed your account. Good job. Paypal has waaaaayyyyy too much power right now. Here's a link from today: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=486850 |

| If everyone that doesn't like Paypal's antigun policy closed their account and refused to use them, that would send a clear message in any language. Gun owners are a very strong lobby when they speak with one voice. Losing money by people who disagree with policy always gets attention with stock holders. Paypal won't get another penny from me. I will only do business with a company that supports my beliefs, traditions, and customs. Let Freedom Ring! |
Not in this case they aren't, not in a company that deals world wide. We're just a drop in the bucket compared to the billions of other customers they have. Deal with it. |
Don't get me wrong, I agree their policies are bullshit. But it is their company, and they set the rules - abide by them, or find some other place to do business with. And in the grand scheme of things, US gun owners are just a small pin-prick of the customers Paypal handles. |
| I have closed my account with Paypal and hopefully have informed a few more people that, like me, didn't know of their antigun policy. Maybe they closed their accounts and told a few people as well........... The point is education and freedom to exercise the right to choose who to and not to support. I choose to support companies that don't penalize me for my beliefs, traditions, and customs. US gun owners make up quite a large lobby of folks in this country, contrary to belief that we are a small group. Billions are spent every year on hunting and shooting sports, and those sports aren't just practiced in this country alone, so maybe the message will reach out to those around the world and they will act in the same manner as myself. The assault weapons ban sunset in most states because of public opinion and pressure on the people representing us. Gun legislation battles are being won every day by the NRA and groups like them. So spread the word on Paypal and companies like them that have antigun policy maybe we can persuade them to change, or promote a new finance company that supports us and our way of life. |
