Suddenly there seems to be a huge increase in the number of people who are demanding piston operated AR uppers.  Personally I see it as an answer to a problem that doesn't exist.

So what does the membership say?

I said on the fence.

I want and am going to get a Sig556.

So I hope it doesn't hurt when I fall off the fence.

I voted ho hum.

I've seen people make references to it being "inevitable" that the current gas system be replaced with a piston system.  I suppose in the long term the mil platform will be replaced with SCAR or something else, but that'll take a long time.  We civilians might never be able to get the replacement though.

I suppose one advantage to a piston system is that folding stocks become a possibility.

I consider the Sig556 a little bit of a diferent animal.  Hell I would like to have one.  I am more of refering to people going bonkers (and broke) to add piston uppers to their AR's.

The piston will be a cheap thing to make and an easy way to charge more....
