| Fiancee's uncle has a gun he describes as a Bushmaster .223, but AFAIK, it is not an AR as he said the receiver on it is not the same as an AR receiver. What could it be? |

Negative on the last. I've seen it once and I wasn't paying that much attention to it. Its at least 10 years old, its a rifle, its not a bullpup. Someone had spraypainted the whole thing black. Thinking back as best I can remember, I thought it might be a mini-14, but the other night when he was over fondling my AR's, he said it was a bushmaster and wondered if it were the precursor to the AR or something as they fired the same ammo. |

Long before bushmaster started building AR's, they made a bullpup configuration weapon of unique design. It had AK style gas, and used M16 magazines. http://www.biggerhammer.net/armpistol/manual/ Years later, they bought the Ibus M17S, and incorporated it into their line. So it really depends on how old it is. . |
By god I think you got it. I think I remember that stock folding and doing something dumb like covering the ejector port or something. Any other info on it? Does it take AR magazines? Any links to info on it? |
