Don't know anything about the Kawasaki but I got a Honda and love it. I have had it since 93
and all that I have replaced is the battery.
Back when I was in the market for a 4 wheeler I went around to 3 or 4 dealers and said to all of them " I have x amout of money to spend, which one would you buy"? All replyed HONDA.
When asked why, they told me "They just don't break". Unless you are into speed get a 4x4.
That"s my 2cents.

As with guns, it all depends on what your intended use is.

If your getting it for speed, get the 2WD and a manual transmission and footpegs.

If you are getting it for hunting or exploring, get a 4WD, auto tranny and floorboards.

Oh, I too would recommend ANY Honda. You can't break 'em.
