heh, me too. My cat likes to make the strangest noises, along with the barking.. --VT |

My cat just meows, chirps, coos, tweets, quacks, and barks. I think she's a little confused, but we've never got her to say anything else. Cats really only have the structure to form a couple consonants; a few nasals and approximants. Most vowels are also out of their range. But, for all we know, they could have a spoken language, and they do communicate with each other in it. We just can't speak it. If they did have one, however, it'd almost definitely be extremely simple. Like "Hungry. Want food." "There food. Smell? Eat?" "Eat." |
I gotta disagree to an extent . I found a couple of kittens no more then a day or two old . My now Ex wife fed them with an eye dropper and did the whole maternal routine with them . To this day , both of those cats communicate differently to her then they do to anyone else . When she talks to them they talk back with a tone that resembles her voice . |

We had a cat when I was a kid. One time, she ran off. She was gone for nearly two weeks. Then, just like that, she came back. I asked her where she'd been. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I realized how stupid that was to ask a cat where she'd been. I mean, she's just gonna lie. |
So what DID she say?? |
