| For sure shoot when he came to the driver side and smashed that window. Would have drawn about the time he came into the street with the crow bar toward me. Other option: taze his ass and kick the guy with the camera in the nuts, then get the tape and have them both arrested. |

In my state, I don't think it would be a legal shoot, as I believe we are obligated to retreat, if possible, if we are anywhere but in our home or business. I don't think being in a car is an exception, especially if you can drive away. If he had had a firearm, it may have been a different call, but with a crowbar, I think I would have had to retreat, since I would rather not do time. ETA: I don't like the poll, as I don't consider retreat as doing nothing. In my state, retreat is required in most states, so doing so is being a law abiding citizen. To me, doing nothing would mean standing staill, and taking the beating. |
| I would try to drive away. If I wasn't able to drive away, I'd draw and point my firearm at him and tell him to stop. If he approached my driver door, or tried to get in the car, I'd fire. If he had gotten to the point-the-gun stage and was in front of my car, I'd hit him with the vehicle. |

I'm legally licensed to a carry a concealed firearm, and given no avenue of retreat, I drew and shot him." Fake or not, that seems like a real good way to get yourself shot. Especially if someone else in traffic saw this. I know if I was in a car next to that PT Cruiser, and I saw this, as a dumb as it'd be, I would have shot that dude DRT. |

I would have tried to flee in my vehice, he's too close and odds are not in your favor at that range. Since he picked up the hammer beside the street, the driver wouldn't have gotten any warning prior to the attack... I can only imagine how much worse it would be with my child in the car.... You have firearm and a car as weapons and you have a the car as shelter. He has crowbar,, id say your odds are in your favor. |

The man armed with the deadly weapon attacking me = Bang Bang Bang Bang until the violent, unwarranted attack on me is neutralized. The man with the camera = Bang Bang Bang Bang reevaluate for more violent threats against me. I would draw down on him if I was in traffic near the person being violently attacked. I would give him a opportunity to disarm himself. If he continued his violent, unprovoked attack on the person in the vehicle, Bang Bang Bang Bang until the violent, unwarranted attack on the unarmed citizen was neutralized.
