You may not have been able to get a combat arms MOS, but you still got what might be the most important job in the US Army.....caring for wounded American soldiers.

Congrats. Good luck. And thank you.

68W?

I had to look it up too, since I was afraid a recruiter had talked him into being a light wheeled vehicle mechanic or something.  "Yeah, we'll teach you how to fly, just sign here."

91W just changed numbers, and now it's 68W.

Wow.  So they went from 91B to 91W to 68W...  I can barely keep up with everything.

Thank you.

And good luck, Bag_Man!  Thank you for joining up!

I have a feeling it will be easy to spot lots of the "imposters" for the next couple of years who claim to be medics, as many won't be familiar with the change.

"I'm now in training to be a 91W".

No you aren't!

Of course, this may also confuse some who are already in and have been in before as well. And since most imposters claim to be SEALs, Rangers, Green Berets or Space Shuttle Door Gunners anyway, probably makes this irrevelant.

My younger brother, who's also a member here, enlisted in the Marines and found out he was color blind.

He's now in accounting and supply.

It often galls REMF Marines when I remind them that sometimes the bravest one on the battlefield is a Hospitalman sailor.

95% of the doorkickers and shooters unabashedly agree with me.

Good Luck!

If you get assigned to an infantry unit you will be combat arms! Soldier First!

Thank you guys, I dont not have my first station assingment yet. I am talking with my recruter to find a way to get me airborne, if that happens Ill almost definatly end up attached to infantry. They tell me its easy to get attached to infantry and hard to get the hospital jobs that everyone else wants. So that works for me.  Just cant wait to ship. Hooah!!
