Not a big fan personally, but he recently played for free at the Solana Beach Street Fair. He almost caused a riot from what I heard. I guess the town didn't realize they were inviting a drunk, hell-billy to headline their fair. Plus it was all ages. Too funny.

LOL, i never said there was a prob. with it.  I think I ran across him on bootliquor.com about 3 or 4 yrs back.  For anyone getting into (what I call Texas country) ..for lack of a better word "alternative" country.....meaning...NOT the BS pop crap coming out of Nashville, check out lonestarmusic.com for starters.  Artists I recommend: Robert Earl Keen, Cory Morrow, Kevin Fowler, The Randy Rogers Band, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Jason Allen, Charlie Roberson, Eli Young Band, and IF you can find some....Rivertrain is a great band

Hope that helps guys

Believe it or not Hank III came to West Virginia some years back to a small bar out in the country, at the time I was 16 and working with a sound studio in town setting-up equipment for local and out off area small bands, my last job was setting up for Hank III and after the show got to hang out and drink a few bears with them on his tour bus, real nice guys it was a memorable moment, though I don’t smoke the only thing I could find was a New-Port pack to get his autograph on, I’ve sense lost it, but I’ll always remember that time.
