Is there any way to adjust the contrast of a video with qt. Or do I need to get Quicktime pro ?

I assume you are using Windows XP. Open up some movie or mpeg, etc with QT, then go to Window on the QT Player, scoll down to Show A/V Controls, select the Contrast slider. Done.
