I've been reading about various states and their gun laws. WHy are the people of Vermont sogreat when surounded by such insane libtardness? DO the rest of their laws, taxes ect falow the same freedom loving trend? Just a guy in the South wondering |
| They have a crazy almost pure deomcratic system. They rate 10 in state/local taxes, but it's mostly property tax assessed on your house IIRC. I remember an article in fine homebuilding about how to specifically avoid getting killed by the assesors in VT by using certain materials. |
To me, VT shows that support for the 2nd Amendment should or at least could be orthogonal to party affiliation. |
Gun control is a major part of liberal political philosphy and has been since at least the 1930s, and probably before. Goes to the influence of European communists and socialists on American liberal political thought. |

More than likely, the lack of gun control is because of their leftyness. It happened here in a way. We had CCW passes, but a few years later it was changed that we did not need a permit. The second law was introduced by a Democrat because he thought the first law was discriminatory. Vermont does not necessarily have good or bad gun laws, they just do not have a law outlawing CCW. |
What about "assault Weapons" and hi cap mags? I read that the only gun law in Vermont was that the local gov'ts couldn't pass gun laws. |

All of my best friends live in Vermont. None of the hippies say shit to them, mostly due to the large volumes of gunfire coming from their backyard ranges LOL...... They are very libertarian up there in many regards. for the hippies it's so they can get stoned and everyone leaves them alone. Fortunately normal people can take advantage of this. From a survival standpoint this is great, as when TSHTF we have an in place ready army of peasant labor to work for us. just let them grow enough dope to keep them placid. I plan to be a vermontagnard someday. As for gun laws, no silencers and no loaded rifles in vehicles, both related to deer poaching. oh, it's also illegal to carry a concealed firearm while commiting a felony. I was up there in march we were shooting in a field, set up right next to the road. FALs, AR's, a Stoner SR-25, long guns. Cop drives by, waves casually, and never slowed down. |
