Posted here for more exposure............. My wife and I recently (last week) purchased a house. Our current 'home' is a rental. I was removing the shower rod the other day (in the rental) and chipped a tile on the wall. I figured busting it out and replacing ONE tile would be easy enough, until I measured it. 4 5/8in? What kind of size is that? That's the actual tile size, not the width with the grout. I've been looking all over, but it seems that size is not the 'industry standard' anymore. The house is only 15 years old, so i can't imagine there are no tiles to fit any where. Color match was going to be my biggest hurdle, or so I thought, now it seems I can't even buy the correct size anymore. Any ideas?

| Yep, just cut one. Buy a few pieces of tile, and buy the cutters. It looks like a pair of pliers with a half-inch nail clipper tip. Just nip off little bits until you get the size you want, and if you can't get the line straight enough just sink that end into the grout a bit. |
Any ideas?
