Experts help! I'm not a cell n00b by any means. I've got a degree in computer engineering and have read books on cell networks. The past few days I have been trying to call my parents in another state and I don't get through. I have cingular and an automated message says the number can not be completed as dialed and read a code "2nb01gn" Anyone know what that means? Also, I have an unbranded 3rd party razr v3. The advantage is that the phone company doesn't take out all the goodie and hide menus. I can go in and have it "sniff" to see what other compadible towers are within reach, and then select another signal to ride on even if it means roaming off the preferred network. When I select a different tower (another cingular tower) my call to my parents goes through. While its a fix, I'd hate to think I'm not getting calls and switching it over takes a bit of time. I'm guessing something might be wrong with that particular tower. Maybe its capacity is maxed. Who knows. -Foxxz |
