Saw this guy for the first time in a live concert a year ago - Loved him
Bought his CD at said concert - Hated him
Saw him on Wal-Mart TV - Killed him for me
Just listened to his "Live at Stubbs" album - Started to like him again.

I can't make up my mind about this band. What does the hive think?

Yeah, it threw me off completely. I was disappointed with his CD, but I knew I wasn't that drunk at the show...I could have sworn he sounded better live than on his CD.

That doesn't happen too often.

Live at stubbs turned me onto him.

I would kill to see that guy roll into Texas and see the looks on peoples faces.

Live at Stubbs "King without a crown" is a damn good song. I would have thought that live, it would be a good concert.

Hasidic Reggae is definitely a different genre.

you couldn't be more correct sir. It's the one song I've probably listened to over fifty times during the past two days.

I like Matis. The old stuff is definitely better. He has gone to a more of a dance hall 'electronic' /pop style. Pickup shake of the dust…arise, which is the first album release. Also try to see him live if you haven’t. They are really great musicians. It is almost like seeing a jam band like phish meets Bob Marley w/some jazz.

there is no such thing as a gimmick in music... its just somthing new.

you cant deny this is somthing different from the normal booring neo-modern rock or hip hop bullshit... even country is lacking anything new.   or at least different.

I liked Live at Stubbs,  but didn't think much of his studio work.  Or should I just say +1?

Jump! Jump!  ya baby!

matis isn't too shabby, dunno that i'd buy his album.

The best gimmick in music is the one they use to keep keith richards from falling over at concerts.
