I bought a few to install on my guns but I have a question.
On one gun it went right in with absolutely no problems but on a couple others the set screw was a little difficult to install.
Did anyone else have this problem?

cold?

that's why the original folds down.

are you saying that they put a set screw in the front of the guard for this thing?

I tried folding mine down while conducting cold weather mountain ops in Brigeport. It lasted less than 30 minutes before the instructors told me to fold it up otherwise I was a canidate for an accidental discharge. Other then that I never folded the trigger guard down although I always wish it was bigger, hence building the item.

As the Magpul trigger guard does not fold it does not need a push button.

The pushbutton requires three parts and labor to install. The set screw is just as strong but simpler.

When I install mine, I put the screw in first, then the pin. Seems to work better that way.

That's what I wound up doing by the time I got to the third one. The Hogue rubber grip was a hair too "thick" and causing the problems. It wasn't worth removing the grip though.
