It's basically the same as if a bunch of french dudes came in and demanded all the land back that we purchased from them.

No, it IS exactly the same.

MEChA is an acronym for Moviemiento Estudiantil Chicano de AZTLAN (Chicano Student Movement).

- AZTLAN refers to the U.S. southwestern states which MEChA claims were stolen from Mexico (disclaiming the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, $15 million paid, etc.), must be reconquered ("Reconquista") and reclaimed for Mexico.

- MEChA was founded for the sole purpose of infiltrating our educational system and, by lies and propaganda, literally "brainwashing" students with anti-American sentiment, hate and violence with the ultimate goal of revolution and the overthrow of the U.S. government.

- The first MEChA chapter was established in 1969 on the U.C. Santa Barbara campus as "El Plan de Aztlan".

- MEChA is a growing and increasingly militant Chicano presence on university, high school and junior high school campuses. According to MIGUEL CARILLO, a Chula Vista HS teacher, there are MEChA chapters at over 90% of the high schools in San Diego and Los Angeles.

this is just a bit that i found on one website, but i need more info

Actually we bought a very tiny portion from Mexico (Gadsden Purchase) which we VASTLY overpiad for (well not including any gold that was mined from it ) which basically reimbursed them for it.

We paid $10 million for 29,640 square miles.

for comparison the louisiana purchase was $15 million for 827,987 sq miles

Alaska was bought for $7.2 million (600,000 sq miles)

AZTLAN 101:

Aztlan is the very real and very rapidly growing radical militant/political movement calling for massive immigration to "reconquer" southwest US and establish a new nation of Aztlan for Chicanos inside our borders.

Aztlan and Amalgamation
The Mexican government and radical "Chicano" groups in this country are pursuing the dream of La Reconquista -- the "re-conquest" of the southwestern United States.
.
.
In 1993, MEChA cadres at UCLA caused $500,000 in damage in a protest demanding full department status for "Chicano Studies" -- courses designed to cultivate a revolutionary mind-set among Hispanic students.

The program of MEChA's April 1997 national conference at Michigan State University offered a snap-shot of that mind-set: "We must … become a nation within a nation, with a national plan of action as new soldiers in our struggle for national independence, and an emerging XICANO [Chicano] nation."

Asked about his group's ideology and intentions, Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter replied: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]."

Once Aztlan is established, continued Perez, ethnic cleansing would commence: "Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled … opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."
{Did ya' catch that? They're talking ethnic cleansing to remove all non-Chicanos from the SW USA}

In their intimidation campaign against the staff of the California Patriot, Berkeley's MEChA thugs offered a foretaste of this ruling philosophy in action.

Do MEChA and its Aztlandista allies have the means to match their ambitions? Not yet, obviously. But their terrorist infrastructure is being created, and it grows with each wave of unassimilated immigrants from Mexico. Kosovo offers an ominous parallel: The narco-terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), which now governs that Serbian province under UN supervision, recruited much of its membership through campus-based ethnic separatism among ethnic Albanians. And the KLA's campaign to seize Kosovo gained strength through rampant illegal immigration from Serbia's southern neighbor, Albania.

MEChA is a widespread "Chicano student movement" with chapters on HUNDREDS of college campuses (and even many High Schools too) that SUPPORT this radical racist movement to invade and overthrow American society and replace it with an "Aztlan" pro-Chicano culture and nation-within-a-nation:

Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán National Constitution (MEChA)

Preamble

Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlán must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community, politicizing our Raza ('our Race') with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán.

Article I: Name
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the National Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de  Aztlán (MEChA).
Section 2. The official symbol of this organization shall be the eagle with its wings spread, bearing a macahuittle in one claw and a dynamite stick in the other with the lighted fuse in its beak. The acronym MEChA shall be above the symbol with the phrase "La Union Hace La Fuerza" ('Union Makes Force') below.

Article II: Organizational Objectives
Section 1. National MEChA outlines the following organizational objectives:
A) To strive for educational, cultural, economical, political, and social empowerment within the Chicano community in order to liberate nuestra gente ('our people');
B) To undertake the responsibility of retaining our identity and furthering our cultural awareness;
C) To undertake the responsibility of uplifting and mobilizing Chicanos and Chicanas through higher education;
D) To implement plans of action concerning Chicanos and Chicanas.

Adopted on April 9,1995 at the 1995 MEChA National Conference Hosted by MEChA at the University of California - Berkeley

In less than 20 years we will have a majority population of Hispanic immigrants in the the border states DEMANDING "liberation of 'la Raza'" - these militants are learning from the Palestinians and Kosovo HOW to carve out a new homeland within a soveriegn nation by force.

Do not doubt this - we WILL have our own Chicano "intifada" in this country within 20 years - or else we will just surrender without any struggle at all.

THIS is they want - a wholly independant nation of "Aztlan":

And they are getting very close to establishing it even without firing a single shot:

This map is from 6 years ago and does NOT count illegal aliens.

FROM THEIR VERY OWN MOUTHS:

"While I am saying this half serious and half joking, I think we are practicing la reconquista in California."
~  Jose Pescador Osuna,
Mexican Consul General, Feb 2002.

"I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important - a very important - part of this."
~ Ernesto Zedillo,
Former President of Mexico, speaking in Chicago, July 23, 1997.

"Mexico extends beyond its borders."
~ Vicente Fox,
Current President of Mexico, speaking to a gathering in Milwaukee in July of 2001

"California is going to be a Hispanic State and anyone who doesn't like it should leave. They should go back to Europe."
~ Mario Obledo,
President of the Californian Coalition of Hispanic Organisations, June 1998

"Our devil has pale skin and blue eyes... To the gringos in the audience, I have one final message to convey, 'Up yours, baby. You've had it, from now on.' "
~ Jose Angel Gutierrez,
professor, University of Texas.

"Remember 187 (proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non citizens) was the last gasp of white America in California."
~ Art Torres,
Chairman of the California Democratic Party in front of 400 cheering Latinos at U.C. Riverside on January 14, 1995.

"We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos...non-Latinos aren't watching, they aren't raising questions"
~ Fernando Guerra,
professor, Loyola Marymount

"Go back to Boston! Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you. Leave like beaten rats. You old white people. It is your duty to die. .. Through love of having children, we are going to take over."
~ Augustin Cebeda,
of the 'Brown Berets', a militant Aztlan group at a violent rally in Los Angeles on July 4, 2000.

"In an extraordinary political move, President Vicente Fox has announced the formation of a cabinet level agency to govern, protect and provide services to over 20 million Mexicans now living in Aztlan, a territory encompassing most of the southwest part of the USA. President Fox declared yesterday that he will personally lead the new agency he named "Consejo Nacional para las Comunidades Mexicanas en el Exterior" (National Council for Mexican Communities Abroad). The "Council" will consist of the president, most of the cabinet secretaries and a, as of yet unnamed, representative from Aztlan. This is a bold move that essentially extends the arm of the Mexican government into the territories it previously lost during the Mexican-American War of 1848."
~ Reported in "La Voz de Aztlan", August 7, 2002.

"Fair housing agencies report a surge in discrimination by immigrant landlords from many nations who refuse to rent outside their ethnic group."
~ Reported in Los Angeles Times, Nov. 21 2001.

"We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population... I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it.... We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him."
~ Jose Angel Gutierrez,
professor, University of Texas.

And let's not forget...

Texas was not bought from Mexico by the US.

It was not won from Mexico by the US.

Texas fought for it's OWN independence and WON it from Mexico, then decided to become part of the US.

Seems like Mexico has been doubly ruled out from any claim to Texas by it's OWN inhabitants.  The people who live here ON THIS LAND decided long ago, numerous times, that they do not wish to belong to Mexico.

Come and Take It, el Bitcheros!!!!
