| Runs like a champ, no malfunctions whatsoever.. Anyway it's a milspec model. I fitted a match bushing and it is really a great shooter but it needs a crisper trigger and the stock setup really gives me hammer bite. So I am thinking a Wilson beavertail. I would have to radius the frame with the required jig and then refinish that part. And might as well round off the sharp edges all over which means a repark, which I can also do. What say you? |

Save all the parts you replace, so you can buy another frame and put them back on it for a second 1911. Add up the cost of everything you want to do it. Then look at the production modles out there and see where they come in. Kimber had everything I was looking for, it was a wash to have it done or buy a New Kimber. |
Theedges bother me. The radius of the frame doesn't bother me as I am confident I can doit easily. The gun shoots great and I would be able to get everything I need to do the job for under $100. So figure the pistol was $20 out the door, that still less than a NIB Loaded model. |
