The fever is on.  The boat is almost ready for a long night on the water.

- New trolling motor = check
- Rewired some accessories = check
- Change gear lube = check
- Spent rediculous amounts of $$ on more fishing gear = check

Only thing left to do is fire up the motor tomorrow and see if any adjustments are needed.  Either tomorrow night or Friday will be the 1st voyage of the year on my boat!!!! Wooo hoo!

Oh and, no, the ARs are staying at home so there won't be any tradgic boating accidents.  If you want me to take yours up, I am sure I can find a way for them to fall overboat.

Anyone else got spring fishing fever?

Sure do Defcon.  I have some of the best smallmouth bass fishing in Pennsylvania in  my back yard and my son loves to bow fish.  Tomorrow morning I'm planning on re installing the batteries in my boat and maybe go out for a little bit before work.

Nice!

Not much has been biting out here.  Best catch so far this year is a 19"brown trout.

We went walleye fishing last week from 7:00pm to 2:30am and got skunked!   Water temps were only at 45 so it is certainly a bit early.

We will be hitting up walleyes, bass and lake trout this year.  Maybe a muskie or 2 from the belly boat.  Taken the belly boat out once this year so far so when the ponds & smaller lakes warm up we will be hitting them from that.  Here is a pic of the belly boat I just finished setting up including the 3 rod holder and the fish finder.

Caught a few nice perch out here last year. Nothing to write home about but I would like to catch more.

I grew up out east and miss the fishing out there something fierce.  Bass out here don't get 1/2 as big as they do out there.

Last year I did ok on catfish.  Caught a 28" and 31", both of which are nice catches in Colorado.
