Are they spoofing the Family Guy "Giant Chicken vs. Peter" fight? |
BTW... it's "New South Park Roll Call'... Not "New South Park Role Call".
Just thought I'd mention that. |

Comedy Central pussed out.
The ending showed it all... you can make fun of America, the president, Jesus, whatever... all you want... but by censoring anything, they are shitting on our country. |

That South Park episode was friggin hilarious. The end just ridiculed the Muslims and how ridiculous they have been. I thought it was an AWESOME episode. It showed Comedy Central had no balls and that the Muslims were acting like idiots.

they showed muhammed a few years back on the Super Best Friends episode.
interesting how fear can control people exercising the First. |
Basically told them they have no marbles. Other than that the episode was good. |
I said thank god the south park guys know how to pull out of a nose dive and can save an episode even if it is censored. It was overall ok but would have been nice to have shown it |

+1 That was Trey and Matt's middle finger to CC re: the Scientology episode. |
I wanted them to show it.
However, I think that it would be on CC's mind that airing it COULD be a matter of national security. Imagine if they showed it and a month from now a few suicide bombers hit some malls here in the US. It's their network, so they made the call and they have the right to do it. The First Amendment is intact as long as the government didn't forbid them from showing it. Personally, I'd just as soon get this thing started so we can finish it. Show Muhammad, and let them bring it. But it wasn't my call. |
So what you are saying is they caved into fear and intimidation? |
I think CC might have. I don't know if I would be willing to possibly have attacks unleashed on us over a cartoon. They're going to come anyways, but if they happen I wouldn't want to think that I encouraged those sick fucks to do it. They'll attack us on their own. |

Torrent is up. Link

I highly doubt comedy central did that. It looked exactly like something trey and matt would do. |

At first I was a little dissapointed but the more I thought about it the more I think the intention was to "censor" the Muhammad pic but show Jesus shitting on Old Glory in an effort to make Americans look in the mirror. You may not like it (I don't) but Jesus shitting on Old Glory is clearly 1A protected and no Court in the nation would rule that it is not a free speech issue. However, many people (including some ARFCOMERS) consider a picture of Muhammad and the recent violence resulting from Muhammad theme cartoons to be over the line and not worth the risk. I am sure that you could find a judge (and you wouldn't have to look too far) who would label a Muhammad cartoon to be some sort of "hate crime". Meanwhile, most of the nation will simply bury their heads in the sand ingnoring these issues and focus on whats important in life (American Idol, Brittany's sex life, HDTV, etc.).
As I said, I was somewhat dissapointed with the ending (especially since I waited a week for it) but it did make me think. Manatees-WTF??? |
