| Are there any anti-immigration protest today of any significance? |
|
Doubtful. The other side has done this very well. A few Mexican radio stations and rag newsletters (not to mention a few idiotic college level clubs a'la "La Raza") could never have done this. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but there is a higher level of money and organization at play here. This fits a political agenda perfectly and the timing is nice too. If 5 million Americans did this, you'd see a change. |
You are correct! The higher level of money and organization is ANSWER (http://www.internationalanswer.org). It is a Marxist socialist organization.
ANSWER has helped to organize many of the largest antiwar demonstrations in the United States since the September 11, 2001 attacks, and has also organized activities around a variety of issues, ranging from Palestine, to immigrant rights, to Social Security, and the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Though its national headquarters are in Washington, D.C., where it organizes its national antiwar demonstrations, the coalition's influence is seen as being strongest in San Francisco, and increasingly, in Los Angeles. ANSWER's organizing strategy centers on acquiring police permits for public demonstrations, and organizing national demonstrations, giving the group leverage over other groups that do not have the permits or a national network...." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANSWER Shok |

I figured so. The "political agenda" that I was referring to was some flavor of liberalism/socialism. I just didn't know the details. Thanks for the info. I suspect this ANSWER has the tacit approval (if not logistical and financial support) of some branch of our very own DNC. I am usually very well informed on the details, particularly with regard to national politics. I have not been able to bear watching this unfold though. It's too mind-boggling how serious this is and our own people are just watching it happen. I'm no political or social leader, but I haven't seen anyone step up and ask me to participate in doing something about this either.

DNC, George Soros, who knows? Shok |
