Ok last night a friend and I came up with THE solution to the illegal immigrant issue. It is plain and easy to understand, and it solves issues we have in our own country by killing two birds with one stone. It allows immigrants that currently come over illegally an easy 1 step process to gain citizenship in the U.S. while at the same time not increasing the U.S. population it is called the “Immigrant Exchange Program” so here goes:

1) An easy to access entry point will be set up on the border between Mexico and the U.S. providing a multi turn sty access point similar to that of an amusement park  ride.

2) There will be access points from both sides (U.S. and Mexico) and the two turn stys will be linked which will unlock only when accessed from both sides at the same time.

3) Any U.S. citizen that has been an habitual welfare recipient and a general ward of the “state”, lives in government housing etc. that is found both physically and mental able to work will receive a document that gives them 120 days to find a job. At the end of the 120 days if they do not have a job they will be placed in the “Immigrant Exchange Program” and this individual will be transported to a border entry site.

4) Every immigrant that comes across from Mexico will be “exchanged” for one of the U.S. “citizens” mentioned above. Once they have crossed they will be issued a ss# as wells as a “Spoken English” manual.

Again, this solves two issues as we are relived from the burden of the “ward of the state” and the Mexican immigrant can then do the “job’s Americans won’t do” that the media keeps talking about.

Novel idea...

Guess you could look at it as sort of an "ambition pump" -  basically, we'd be "pumping out" the people with no ambition, while "pumping in" the people who did.

I doubt that Mexico would think too much of the idea, though - Nobody wants somebody else's bums dumped on them. Also, most of the people we dumped would try to sneak back into the U.S., resulting in a whole new class of illegal aliens!

My other idea would be to send members of the house and the senate that vote for amnesty over in the exchange.
