What would be illegal about it?  It is a business.

ETA No I don't have stock in oil.  But I probably should.

I am closing on the sale of one of my businesses because fuel is now my biggest cost and I am not in the business of giving the gas stations and the state of Michigan any more money.

Milk hit $2.83 a gallon here.

Hmm, maybe I should start my own thread.

Seriously, why do we feel the need to constantly post how much gas costs all the time?

Gas is anywhere from $2.39 to $2.96 in Maryland.

I bought a streetbike to commute

2.49 for 87 on base, 2.48 for 89 (ethanol) on base.

usually ethanol is cheaper here in the midwest.

87 gets me better mileage anyway, so even when it's .10 more per gallon i still save money overall by filling up less often.

now that it's warming up, a nice little 250cc motorcycle might become the daily commuter to and from base.

I love my 10 mile round trip commute!  Not as good as the whole "telecommuting" scam, but it's the best I can do.

Gas prices...it's gonna get bad before it gets....REALLY bad

I'm glad my commuting cost is just wear on my LPC's (leather personnel carriers) on my 9-block walk to work.  Going to be expensive drinving to Colorado this summer, though.  Funny how gas up in the boonies that has to be trucked in is much cheaper than gas on the coast right next to a receiving terminal.

All you can do right now to stick it to the man is to get vehicles that consume less, and be more efficient in your driving. If your destination is within walking/biking distance, do that. The exercise will be good for you anyways, most likely.

Unfortunately, I don't live within easy walking/biking distance of town.

What really sickens me is that I'm paying $3+ for 91 octane shit gas, while nearly everyone else in the country is paying way less for 93 octane. Fucking bullshit.
