I was a loyal Bob and Tom listener, until the war in Iraq.
I got sick of them ripping on Bush and how the war was wrong. They would have John Mellencamp on all the time saying the war was wrong, blah blah, blah.
What finally did me in for those jerks is when during the Olympics, U.S. athletes were asked to not parade the flag after a win. Tom said they should be embarresed to carry the flag.
F*^&% them and the horse they rode in on.

I listen to Mancow now. He will replace Stern on OTA broadcast. He is a gun lover, libertarian, very pro-liberty, and it's not a constant parade of whores.

Hell, I can't listen to either of those shows.  By the time I've been listening for five minutes I'm ready to start throwing shit through the windshield.  IMO all the "shock jock" shows suck ass.  Bob & Tom were OK until the political stuff started, and I still miss the Greaseman in Atlanta.  He was a shock jock but at least he was right wing AND funny.

I think it's very tough to judge, as most owners have settled on Stern or O&A, and their only comparison to the one they didn't choose, was Stern when he was stifled by the FCC, or O&A before the F'ing in the church incident.

Both are very different on Satellite.

I'm very happy with Stern.  People can say he's juvenille, but he had Carmen Electra riding on one of those $2000 Sybian toys last week- juvenille or not,  if you're a man that's something you pay attention to.  I'm also very pleased with Bubba and Ferral, 2 other jockies he brought on board for his other channel.

As of recently they have dropped G-Gordon Liddy and have been going to a Latino program. Considering they are the only station carrying him it doesn't look too good for him in the long run.

I have Sirius, mainly because it offers a channel or two more of Conservative talk than does XM (this was true last year, anyway).

Admittedly, though, I rarely listen, as I normally am listening to Rush's podcast on the iPod.

Even if I did, though, Howard Stern would be the LAST guy I'd listen to.

Back to the thread. Ferrel is a loser, he was friend of O&A. Opie stood up for him with alot of FM companys. Was working on getting him on XM. Eric Logan said "NO" his past was to much for XM. They took a PASS. Just as they did with Bubba. Funny thing is that Howie need'd live bodys to fill all his channels. That was part of the Big Bucks, to have all these high dollar jock's. Well you see what he got. Washed up has been's and never was. What happend to TODD ( Bubba) in Conn. ??? NOTHING, they said he was a no show in the ratings. Then you got the Corp. Blaa.Blaa. "Well its a southern show, Not for the New England folks"  Yaa, Mell sold that to you hook line and sinker. So TODD (Bubba) Stayed in good ol FLA. Then he did his "PIG" stunk and that was the END of Todd. And Howie cut him from ass to elbow for that, And know there BUD's. Hmm, O&A where the only one's that he couldn't beat fare. So what did he do?? Went behind the scene to BACK STAB them. Hell, Shawn H. on Fox got that out of him a few weeks ago. And said he would do it again.

2. No channel blocking
3. A big contract on a 4 day a week show. ( His fans where not happy with him for taking time away on FM. And now there Paying???)
4. And beging named in a LARGE suite.(500 million).And maybe a SEC investigation, OACH..
5. And there hints of a rate increase. Stock investors wanting to see some pay back.  

The Greaseman is now only on one local AM station in DC--1160.  Still does the same stuff, and has quite a bit of gun content.

Stern was king until Jackie left and his divorce, I can't stand him anymore.
I got tired of the "this is the last contract" gimick about the 4th time.

Jackie did the right thing when he told them to scratch his ass.

Also I don't clam to be a English major. Just a Former MARINE that has a opion. I don't sit in a office and talk about shooting my AR,XD,or one of many other weapons. I work a 70 hour week, run a small Trucking Co. And do almost all my work from a laptop (from finding frieght to keeping drivers in the right places) and spent 196 nights away from home last year. And still made time to shoot over 300 rnds min. every week last year. And also spend time working on my boat and keeping the trucks running.

So no, spelling is not my strong side. But if you all cry alot I might try to work on it a little more.
