Love the freedom of speech angle since supposedly Comedy Central pulled the Tom Cruise trapped in the Closet episode due to pressure from Tom Cruise.

Ha, very good episode. Never watched Family Guy, but it looks like a Simpsons clone.

It's kinda strange that a CARTOON can discuss current events & always comes down on the sensible/rational side and all the networks, CNN, Hollywood, etc. always gets it wrong.

YOu guys know what this is in reference to?
A few years ago South park did an episode called 'super best friends' in which the prophet Mohammud was portrayed as a cartoon. It actually showed him in a good light. HE joined up with other religious figures to fight evil like a comicbook  hero (oh excuse me Graphic novel ). They defeated the evil David Blane. But now it appears that they might pull THAT south park episode as well as the other religious ones. ANd i think trey parker and UBER JEW Matt stone might be sweating a little with all the protesting going on.

The first time I tried watching Family Guy, I noticed EXACTLY what cartman hated about the show- too many damn flashbacks / bits that were constantly thrown in that had nothing to do with the story at hand. It's like the writiers have ADHD. Worse than that, the jokes aren't even that funny.

Fucking classic southpark.

These guys are throwing down the gauntlet to all of American Media saying:  "We're not pussies who will be pushed around by threats of violence from the islamic extremists nutzos.  Are yoU?!"

They can't pull that one! That's one of my favorites!

"Uh.....a giant stone John Wilkes Booth?"

The funny thing about that, is that Family Guy's creator has said that the flashbacks sometimes make up for a poor storyline.

I love both shows. I like South Park more. But a lot of times what I remember most about Family Guy episodes are the side jokes.

They can still get away with more on South Park than we can on Arfcom.  You'd think an EBR site would be more in line with defending free speech than a television station.
