thx what do you mean by header? the message that comes up when the email is returned? they are both AKO accounts |
|
The e-mail header is all the information used to address the e-mail, as well as say who the sender was, and what route it travelled to get to you. For example, this is the header from a piece od SPAM I just received:
The important part for replying is a header called From: ...... or Reply-To: ..... (Reply-To: has precendence over From:). Make certain that the address specified there is correct, not mangled in some way. When the mail bounces baqck to you, what does it say -- most mailers give a reason for returning mail. |

"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipients failed. [email protected]" Weird because the address should be [email protected] Its like my email is changing the address to ca.ngb.army.mil when i reply?? |

Reporting-MTA: dns;NGCAFESTBH002.ng.ds.army.mil Received-From-MTA: dns;NGCAPXSEC002.NG.ARMY.MIL Arrival-Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2006 15:20:27 -0800 Final-Recipient: rfc82;[email protected] Action: failed Status: 5.1.1 It should be us.army.mil not ca.ngb... very strange! |
He has his AKO set to foward to hs CAARNG email account, and that account is bouncing. You can forward AKO to any other .mil email. |
The first AKO IM service allowed you to use your Yahoo, AOL and MSN ID within the AKO software, they dropped it due to security concerns. |
