Is it just me, or is Arfcom depressing as hell?

It seems like every other thread is about the media screwing us, the media screwing up the war, socialist liberals are overrunning our institutions, the West is dying, the economy is about to tank, the younger generation is worthless, half of marriages end in a terrible divorce, the JBTs will be knocking at our door any day now, RFID/Bird Flu/SHTF, race wars, etc.

I've almost sworn off General Discussion because I feel like crap/paranoid after reading a couple threads. Anyone else feel that way?

Only thing that really pushes all my buttons HARD is the illegal ~~alien~~ invasion shit.

That's the one thing that gets me

enough that I have to fight off the urge to start pounding holes in the walls.

Other than that, I find the good/funny stuff outweighs the depressing crap.

GD.......often
ARFCOM...not at all

GD is the only blemish....the technical forums are a playground for me.
Team is like the 'adult swim' version of GD.

GD.....maybe not quite depressing.....more like...dissappointing.

Yes, it is depressing. The first time I wandered into GD I thought it was a plain ole' freakshow. The fact that it no longer surprises me is worrisome.

Getting banned over some dumbass subject in GD (when you aren't going to change anyone's mind anyway) and losing access to such great gun info would be stupid indeed.

The divorce shit is the most depressing of all. Reading that Hasselhoff was disarmed because of some bullshit allegation from his wife gave me a bad dream! eek!

When I want to discuss firearms or learn something new, I stick to the gun themed forums; when I want to feel better about myself, I argue with some of the idiots in GD, or as I like to say, Generally Dysfunctional.

i have a hell of a lot of fun in GD. sure there's some depressing shit here, but there's just as much light hearted fun too. the guys who post here are the kind of people i would want to hang out with in real life (well, a good number of them at least)
