I already have a glock 26 for carry, and I like the weight and size for CCW purposes, but it is still just a wee bit small for my large (very large) hands.

I was considering getting either the XD-9 subcompact or the XD-9 regular size, bi-tone (I hate rust/corrosion, and live in a hot humid place).  I also like the light attachment point for it.

Anyone else go through this choice?  If I get the XD-9 subcompact with the extended grip on the mag, would that help with the hand-size concerns?  Am I giving up way too much concealability and lightness of weight by going with the standard XD-9 vs. the subcompact?

I thought about an XD, but became very partial to the G-19, just a half inch longer grip, but 5 more rounds than a G-26.

When I carry, the G-26 is for warmer light shirt weather, and the G-19 for coat weather.

If you like your Glock and it's too small why not get a G19?

Have you tried the Pearce mag extension? I put one on my G27 and I liked it.

I actually have one on my 26 - helped, but still not enough.  I may end up with a Glock 19, though.

I've tried the extensions, but I can't get used to the feeling of the grip being movable under my pinky finger.

Just like they have replaceable backstraps, I think it'd be great if Glock or some other company made an adjustable grip length- one for concealed, and a solid, slide in grip extension, to use full size mags.

more, and larger mags for the glock
grip feel better on the XD
glock finish, great
XD finish BLOWS!
trigger lighter, smother on glock
wider trigger on XD feels better

both guns need trigger jobs
XD needs to be SS, or duracoated

i bought an XD-9 for my wife a couple years ago. She loves it, I like it, haven't had any problems with it at all. your not in Kalifornia, so you can take a .40 cal mag and stuff 15 or so 9mm rounds into it.
