One of the only movies I can think of where Sigourney Weaver was attractive.

And SW never looked better.

The best part is when Tony Shaloub comes  on the screen and the background is filled with explosions and people flying everywhere and very calmly says...

Hey guys, I just wanted you to know that, the reactors won't take it; the ship is breaking apart and all that... Just FYI.

Excellent flim.  Funny, sad, action, good Sci-Fi, very well done effects, a story that is well written and not a clone of the six gajillion films that came before it.

As Rik said, very underrated.

I love the "rudimentary lathe" line.

Guy: "Don't open that! It's an alien planet! Is there air? You don't know!" (takes a deep breath)
(Fred sniffs the air and then takes a few deep breathes)
Fred: "Seems okay."

I never looked at her in that "way" until I saw her in this movie. Man she fixes up mighty nice!

Its one of those movies that doesnt mean anything if you are not a Trekkie already.  If you are its awesome.

I think it's Alan Rickman that steals the show for me...

"Don't say it! Don't say that line!"
"You broke the ship!? You broke the bloody ship?!"

Great sarcastic actor, did well in Dogma too.

NTM
