You have to have a plan when you go to the grocery store:

1. Don't go on the weekend or on Monday.  Too many braincell challenged.

2. Most people in the store have absolutely zero situational awareness.  They stand right in the middle of the lane while looking at their list.  They have no peripheral vision.

3.  Folks walking in the parking lot seem to believe that need to walk right up the middle.  They also believe that a car will always defer to them especially when they walk behind someone who is backing out of a slot.

4. For the checkouts I always look for the shortest line.  If it's a wash then I go to the line with the best scenery
