Curiously, the only red beer I knew of in Ireland was Kilkenny Red.

I have many gripes over the celebration of Paddy's day in the US. Firstly, Green Beer. Are you mad? Then there's the corned beef and cabbage thing, invented in New York. And you have the whole pinching business if you don't wear green. Eh?

And why on earth, 'Patty'?

Oh, to hell with it. As long as you got the alcohol part down right, you're sorted.

I(Irish) was gonna use "Paddy" but the wife(French & Spelling Nazi) said Patty!

We're having a St. Patrick's Day Party at my bar tonight.  It's going pretty good

Running specials on everything Irish  Killian's, Guinness,  Bushmill's/Bushy Black/Bushy 10 yr. Malt,  Tullamore Dew,  Irish Carbombs,  YeagerBombs(with Bushmills of course)

Got the fire on the deck going.  Been a great night...Haven't had to bounce anyone all night,  Great crowd
