I'm reading this post about calls for getting rid of gun laws and for smaller government and how the two parties have failed. Well there is an option. Vote Libertarian, did you know that the last presidential candidate for the Libertarian party was a strong defender of the 2nd ammendment and he even concealed carries. Most people who have heard of the libertarian ideals say they don't want to waste their vote voting third party well if you can even tell the difference between the Republican and Democrat politicians keep voting but to me they're are both corrupt scumbags who only want to increase the government.

+1.  The Libertarians want to strip the federal government down to the essentials.  The Reps and Dems just want to keep bulldozing your rights, you're really only voting for a driver.

[/lockstepping Bush bootlicker ON]  A vote for Libertarians is a vote for John Kerry/Al Gore/the evil, big-government Democrats!!!  [/lockstepping Bush bootlicker OFF]

Some news for those of you who still think that voting for a "third" party is throwing your vote away:  There is NO difference anymore between the two parties.  The Republicans can't get anything done as far as spending cuts and government reduction goes.

Voting "third" party is more like voting for the second party, since the Democrats and Republicans seem to both be enthusiastic members of the Socialist monoparty.  Wake up, America!

If the republicans were smart (which they aren't) they'd impeach Bush themselves. Maybe find a willing Democrat useful idiot to get the ball rolling, and then jump in with both feet, make a statement that "this idiot doesn't represent the GOP"

If they did that they wouldn't have to worry about holding onto power, impeach the veep too, just go right down the chain to whoever they want to run in '08.

Bush has almost singlehandedly destroyed the conservative movement in this country, a remarkable feat for a man who's not a conservative himself. He should be the one to pay the price, not the republic.

I don't think the GOP can accomplish anything meaningful this year with Bush in office, so I won't even bother with wishful thinking.

You can say vote third party all you want , but it will count for nothing UNTIL you reform the Election system. There is nothing in the constitution that says we can only have two parties!! But the way the laws and rules are set up the two parties have a basic lock on power. There is no proportionate voting system in the US. it's "all or nothing." It's bullshit. If 10% of the people vote for a party then 10% of the representives in DC should be from that party. But does that happen? NOOOOOOOO. pathetic really. Remeber how it sucked when there were only a few TV channels? But now we have hundreds? WE need more parties and more choice. Until then we'll have a backwards system and countries with a multi-party system will eventually pass us in having a better democracy.

Simply put, no. The Libertarian Party was on the ballot in fourty-nine states during the previous election. I voted for Michael Badnarik last election and if everyone else would have, we would of had a much better president.

A constitutional ammnedment that is clearer to the liberals than the second which they seem not to understand, that makes it clear they cannot and will not touch my guns.

Because if the Democrats get elected that will be what they go for first., Because doesn't everybody know "Private Gun ownership is helping the terrorist get weapons!"

Or, in the alternative, perhaps a few who cannot grow balls will have the good manners to slash their wrists and get the hell out of the way!!
