A friend of mine is having trouble with his Cisco 6506 at work. I've logged onto the router side with a TACACS account with a limited profile. However my question is how can I switch over to CATOS and check the configs there? I only have the gateway IP and  I am remote.

Never used TACACS, but with a normal cisco setup you need not only access, but enable access to view configs.  Does he know the enable password?  You might can still just type "enable" then enter the real password.z

Get the IP for the chassis.  Right now you are logged into the msfc.

He does not know the IP for the chassis (CATOS).... that's the problem. The TACACS account allows the enable command.

It's a 6506 running CATOS on the sup720, and IOS on the MSFC daughter card.
