Haha, they cut Nicole Ritchie practically in half in that one photo to hide her fat. They even moved the couch over and took our her nasty panty cooch shot.

The sad thing is that MOST people STILL believe the pictures they see in magazines. Despite the crap you hear, EVERYONE cleans up EVERY fashion or celeb photo (unless they are purposely trying to dog the celeb). Yes, even Playboy, which usually claims "only good lighting and filters" uses digital editing for nearly every shot.
There is almost nothing that can't be done to a photo, and today it can be done so well that you can rarely tell. The important thing is to remember that, if it's been published ANYWHERE, it's almost certainly been cleaned up, if not significantly altered. -Troy |

I think its funny how on the before and after photos they have a good lookng women in jeans and one in a black dree that they cut like 1/3 off thier body weight....

Holly shit, the one where they photoshop the girl from Slutty Housewives RIGHT into CENTER FRONT position is hillarious! The other actresses must hate her ass if they wouldn't do the shot with her there. It probably didn't help when they opened the magazine to see that they'd been digitally upstaged!

I personally don't see anything wrong with cleaning up a photo.
Granted some of those really take it to the extreme (and are pretty damned nice work in some of the shots) but when your product is image, you're not going to try to make people look their worst. Nothing they're doing is particularly revolutionary stuff they just spent a lot of time and effort to get each photo looking perfect (or whatever effect they were aiming for). Who goes "wow I'd sure like to look like crap in my wedding photos!"? Kinda sad to see 'em edit out that one girls nice ass though.  Oh yeah....and nobody's skin looks like that in RealLife(TM). |
