Right under the monitor is a river rock 2AA LED flashlight. If the power goes out, I'll have more than enough time on the battery backups to at leaat find that light. After that, it will help me find the many lanterns around the house.

My surefire G2 is right on my desk here, next to my knife, and my cell phone (guns are in the closet 10 feet away).
4 feet on the dresser to the left, 2 ft on the take next to bed on the right next to the pistol
I keep 2 mini-maglites and a 5 cell maglite on lanyards around my neck at all times!! Never know how much light you may need!
nope, sorry, nobody really uses those anymore. |
Some old POS (but still a tickin') flashlight is about half an arm's legnth away.
Got to leave a light there so the Gimp doesnt get scared? |
3w LED on my person. Little Nokia phone I have has a led light built in as well. I feel like a walking toolshed sometimes. |
But you could upgrade it with the Nite-Eyz LED bulb replacement and that would be ok. Mines in my pocket. If you want to be uber-taktikal you could also get the tailcap switch |

Surefire G2 12 inches away, right next to the 1911 and cell phone.
My HDS is always in my front right pocket, as long as my pants are on. A handfull of surefires live on the nightstand...they don't see much action since I discovered the HDS lights.

I have a Pelican MityLite 2AAA with a halogen lamp in my pocket, and a Photon II LED white light on my keychain. Also my MityLite has about 2' of duct tape wrapped around it for emergency use.

And also in addition to the duct tape, about 10' of parachute cord tied a la Chris Reeve lanyard . Reeve Coil Knot - Right Hand Reeve Coil Knot - Left Hand |

I post this while at 34000 feet going 520MPH, and my Gladius is in my pocket.
You never know when a rolled up magazine and a flashlight will stop a bad guy. |
Roll, baby, roll. Love the attitude! |
Tiny one in desk drawre in front of me. Lantern within reach in back of me.
Thor hanging from it's strap around my neck.
I never go anywhere at night without it. I also have a Photon microlight strapped to my left ring finger with velcro 24/7. In my pocket is a Ray O Vac 2C cell (red). It's my EDC pocket light. Very nicely crafted. I wear slippers with lights built in. Got them off HSC just before Christmas. Part of the Suzanne Sommers fashion accessory collection. They're called "Step Lightly" slippers. They're pink; but still do the job. Am waiting for the Petzel headlamp I've ordered. When it comes, I will wear it as my EDC 24/7. It wil replace the Ray O Vac (red). |
My surefire L4 is always in my pocket when I am awake. When I am alseep it is beside my bed.
Keep my G2 with me at all times. I use it almost as much as I do my knife!
I carry a SureFire everywhere I go, even at home. Usually I have an E2e on me. Sometimes though I'll have a Lumamax L4 on me.
If you carry a gun, you carry a flashlight. |
There are 4 maglites within 20 ft. Closest one is in the desk drawer next to me.
LED light on my belt 24/7. 120 lumen 9v light on my desk that will find its home on my M4gery.

I have a Surefire G2 in yellow (teh ghey) hanging at my bed post 24/7. I have a 3D mag light next to my truck seat with a LED conversion kit. I have an Inova 5 attached to my sun visor. I have a Glock tac Light on a G22 stored in a bed side safe. I have two Surefire G2's attached to a BM Superlight and Keltec Sub2K.
25 CR123, 10 AA lithiums, and replacement bulbs for the incad's. My 9-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter have Gerber 1AA LED's on breakaway lanyards when away from home. Wife carries a SF G2 in Black and a Photon attached to key ring (seriously under prepared...) One might say I am afraid of the dark |
