Make mine with Bombay Sapphire Gin and just a hint of Dry Vermouth.
On second thought, make it a Gibson.  I hate olives.
(A Gibson is the same as a Martini, but garnished with a cocktail onion instead of the olive.)

Bonefish grill has an awesome raspberry martini,,,,

but at home it's Knob Creek, a few cubes of ice, and a splash of spring water,

way too many good beers to even start,

(latest is Backfin ale, awesome)

Quality blended scotch is great, a good single malt even better once you get the taste.

Wild turkey 80, Jack Daniels, crown royal... excellent for sipping, can't miss....

two great drink books = "The playboy bartenders guide", and "The joy of mixology" (by gary regan).  For some excellent cocktails.

favorites:
aviation cocktail
martini (classic gin/dry vermouth/olive)
manhattan
Rose hall
sidecar (cognac/cointreau)

I like everything but Tequila, and I really Hate tequila.

good luck, drink in moderation

Wife makes THE BEST martini ever.  1.5 oz of Svedka vodka, .5 oz Bombay Sapphire, capful of dry vermotuh (martini and rossi), a little olive juice to make it dirty, and 2 olives.  Shaken with ice, then strained into a cold martini glass - WOW!  Just . . . WOW!

Mixed: Jim and Coke.

Shot:  El Tesoro tequila.

Straight: Glenfiddich 18 year over ice.

Beer: Right now my fave is Shiner. Utilitarian beer with a good nose and not too much of the hopps. I like my reds and my stouts on occassion though as well. Macro-brews suck as a class.
