They got what they deserved and no more it appears. How about that video from OIF1 or 2 with the US CLP getting littered with rocks and about 8 vehicles had cracked windowshields, that would be a good one to post along side this.

Anytime you deserve to be shot and all you get is an ass whooping you've had a good day and should thank the people that refrained from killing you. I wouldn't be surprised if the Brits, in a excessive show of mercy, didn't apply first aid to those that should have been shot and just got ass whooped instead.
Maybe Fox news should show videos of what happens when the same thing takes place in Cuba or Venezuala, or any of the other shithole countries the liberals like to hold up as some kind of people's socialist uptopia. |

Iam all for an asskicking if they deserved it and it looked like they deserved it. What I can't uderstand is why people must video tape it? I understand what goes on in war and most people here do too, but unfortantely 99% of the people here and in other countries does not know what it takes. Keep the shit to yourself. Most people think war is like a game and is all happy. It isnt. We gotta do somthings that are not acceptable to most people to win.
Good for the Brits, Iam glad they got their licks in. I would have been shooting.

If this happened anywhere or anyone else in the world, it would never make the news. Instead we would be reading about a poor soldier sat on fire by evil protestors buried in the back pages.
The fact it is such big deal only confirms how the world is creating and tolerating a new class of special people with special privaliges. We've lived so long with terror and militant inspired civil unrest, we now begin to blame ourselves for not being understanding enough. Like a parent with a spoiled child, we ignore the fact the childs behaviour just may have something to do with them getting in trouble. Our own government can fund an art exhibition depicting Christ in a bottle of urine but no way will we publish a characture of the prophet Mohammed. The governments, media, and state department are only fooling themselves that they are helping. The more they coddle unruly Muslims the more the non-Islamic world is disgusted. Even western Europe the apitamey of liberalism is starting to turn. You tell a class of people long enough they are the badguys, they soon develop the opinion of if I'm going to be convicted of the crime then why the hell not. Yes we are seeing a crime and the victims are not the burning soldier or the beaten kids but you the citzen of the non-Islamic world. Anyone that supports shooting children has fucking problems. They fling bombs and grenades and soldiers have a right to self defense, without question, but lets not pretend it's like bunny blasting. Those are little kids and if you think you blow a childs brains out and sleep well you're wrong. Many combat soldiers spend years in therapy recovering from the shit they've seen and done.
All that said, I dont think the soldiers were out of line. Had it been follow muslims those kids would have gotten much worse. That kick in the balls was fucking awesome ownage though. I wouldnt be flinging rocks after that |

Those soldiers need to be sent back and have some remedial training applied. What was in the video was absolutely unnacceptable! I mean WTF? They only brought two back for a beating?  As far as the twisted narrating, I figger that's the product of having to deal with these savages for too long. I heard gunshots in the video, it was obvious watching the vid that there were extenuating circumstances and that the vid had been edited so that the viewer could be directed to a predetermined conclusion. Sometimes, I saw Iraqi parents throw rocks at their kids and whack them with sticks when they ran out to beg for candy as we rolled down the road in our HMMWVs. They herd kids like their cows, sheeps and donkeys... with rocks and sticks. Violence isn't anything new to them. They start them off young.
Sometimes pointing your weapon doesn't phase them, but they understand the stick. Other units in our area, armed their interpreters with batons for this reason. |

Long time ago I was a machine gunner on a Combat Engineer Vehicle in Vietnam. We pulled almost daily minesweeps and road security for engineer road projects. Anytime we were near a village there were always kids around. They were a pain in the ass and would climb up on the tank and steal shit . SOP was to take four tent stakes, pace off about a 30' square around the tank, drive in stakes, then run white engineer tape around them. I would make it clear that no one was to cross it. Then, knowing they would try it, the first one that went over, and it was always a small cute kid they would send, I would whip its ass like hell then toss it head over heels across the tape. Soon as that was done the rest of the day was uneventful. That would also have made a good video. You cannot judge actions based on a video.
