Hi, I was thinking about what I should buy with an extra 450 dollars. I am thinking about an iPod or an M1 Garand. I don't like the garand that much but my friend can build me a like new Garand for $450. The thing holding me back from the Garand is the ammo price. He also said the offer will always be on the table. I was also looking at the 30 GB iPod for 299$ or possibly the 60 GB iPod. What does y'all think. What else should I look at? Thats

An IPOD will be worth $25 in 5 years. An M1 Garand might be worth $1000.

Ipods will get cheeper garands will get more expensive. I would take the garand.

What do you mean he can build you one? You can buy a whole one with USGI history straight from US Army inventory from the CMP for 417.95 for a field grade.
