I was driving to work early this morning, and on ESPN radio there were people calling in and talking about what they were doing for the Superbowl. I was suprised at how many were either watching alone or with one or two friends or family members. In fact, pretty much all of them.

Myself, haven't held or been to a Superbowl party in probably 10 years. Sitting on the couch drinking some beer and petting my dog while I watch tonight. And honestly, wouldn't have it any other way.

How about you guys? Big party? Or?

Since the Colt's aren't there, no reason to party here. I'm barely watching the game as a matter of fact. Except for now the Stones are putting on the worst live performance I've ever heard!

I don't watch football. It's homo-erotic.

Don't believe me? Name something that involves a bunch of sweaty men playing catch, tackling each other, rolling around on the grass, slapping each other on the ass, and then going off to take a group shower that ISN'T gay.

That's what I thought. Describing football is like describing Brokeback Mountain, except one of the balls involved is made of leather and the headgear goes somewhere else.

I am alone in a hotel room in Huntsville AL. Here for work and not at home watching the game.

Watching the game at the firehouse. At least I'm getting paid.

All the hockey games are already over. TV is off.

It's on the TV, but I'm paying more attention to Guiness, popcorn and gun porn on the laptop...

Had a good time.

I completely forgot about it until this afternoon when I went to the grocery store and the place was overrun. I then ran into a friend, who said:

'You forgot. It's Superbowl Sunday. There's going to be a Nacho crisis.'

When I returned home, my wife laughed at me. The father of one of my son's friends asked:

'So, when did you see Brokeback Mountain?'

So, attitude readjusted, I watched with my wife (who bagged it in the 1st quarter) and my son (who fell asleep in the 3rd quarter).

That's my day.
