a buddy of mine told me that there was going to be a group purchase on AR-15.com for a 9mm conversion kit....Sounds like a great idea to me.  Has anyone heard about this??  Details please?  By the way, how much does a 9mm conversion go for anyway?

I'm int'rested, my 9mm AR15 project is sort of stalled. I haven't heard anything about thbis, except that RRA is planning a 9mm kit and/or carbine. Have'nt heard about a GP this year.

Haven't heard of this project, but if enough of us are interested, perhaps we can inspire one of our resident companies (hint, hint) to take up the idea.  My only caveat is that it would have to take some fairly common and cheap 9mm mags, if possible.

A 9mm conversion would be fun to play with at my local indoor range.  I'd be interested.

Why? I haven't read anything bad on the Olympic pistol caliber uppers.
 What's the scoop???

I've always wanted a 10mm carbine. The 10mm seems perfectly suited for a carbine length rifle. I wish I could own an MP5 10mm [:D]

Anyone else make pistol caliber uppers for the AR ??

I'd be more interested in a .22 myself

Maybe Garyowen could do this project.... He has the know how & the sources to pull it off. He was at one time working on a dedicated .22 project & has the 9mm now.... What do ya think Cav man?

cnatra, I have had some very bad experiences with Oly arms, I'd go with anyone else including Todd from Special Weapons[puke] over Oly arms.

idaho-ar15, were you the guy Olympic screwed because your rifle was damaged in a fire? Did you ever get the rifle back? If so, I hope you get it back! Fu-k Olympic. If it happens to him, it can and will happen to us. I'd be interested in a group purchase. Count me in.

We are waiting to wind down the current LEGP with Rock River.

When that is over we are going to work with them on their new 9mm & do a promo to the memebers of AR15.com to kick it off. They still need to finish off some minor issues on their 9mm.

We may tie it in with the 2002 LEGP or to the buyers of the 2001 LEGP first.

They get back from Camp Perry today so I will start working on it with them next week along with a possible 1911 GP for AR15.com members.
