Background:
My wife and a friend started a non profit organization to help families who have children born with Congenital Heart Defects. About once a year (usually the Saturday before Valentine's day) There is a get together at Children's Hospital where they invite children with heart defects, their parents, cardiologists surgeons and people associated with heart defects. Today was the day for this function and lo and behold who is there? Discovery Channel/TLC doing a special to be aired in October. So they interview my wife and her friend on how they got together and organized this group. As they were being interviewed, I am in the background with a dry erase board that is mounted to the wall. In HUGE letters I write "ARFCOM!" Was that wrong? |
NO, But now you must tell us the air dates, I must watch this...... |
+1 Nothing wrong at all. |
On a serious note to the whole function, I think it is GREAT that this function is growing but it is sad that kids have these conditions. I was talking to one of the women there and she was asking me what is my daughter's condition and if she had surgery yet. When I told her what happened to my daughter. The cameras and boom mic turned to me... man I turned all shades of nervous... talk about ON THE SPOT.
Hey if it gets the word out... I am stoked! |
I'm trying to become an extra in some movie featuring military or something. Then I'll get an excuse to sew my SF patch onto the uniform they provide and display it on screen.
Glad to hear about the program Frige. Sounds like awesome (but sometimes heartbreaking) work. |
Jeez no. I went far over board at Daytona last year!
I lied and told them ARFCOM was the "Armed Recon Force Command" so they'd let me carry the banner. |
Here's $50 if I get to see ARFCOM written in huge letters on a dry erase board on TDC/TLC !
This little stunt just may earn you a month of no spider pics........if it makes it to air............maybe
I'd be willing to take a month off from posting them. If it makes it on the air. If not, I promise to unleash spider hell. |
I would have done the same thing.
or maybe just drew a giant picture of some genitals. But i'm just a prick :-D |
He was supposed to be keeping DFS from drawing "butts" on the white board |
I hope you little stunt doesnt detract from the good of your cause.
If it gets aired |
I am sure that the first thing the producers will do is search for what ARFCOM means.
Then it will get edited out of the show. Just the Anti gun Media Holding us down. |
XDBROKEBACKGUN , do have any place you can go tonight and play with your friends? Is there any thread you do not have a comment about? How long have you been a troll? |

I'm almost afraid to ask: What did happen to your daughter? |
tag for airtimes.
... Did I miss something. DrFri"d"ge DFD DFS?????????? was there an addition to the clan that I wasn't made aware of? |
Nah, nothing to be afraid to ask... YOU didnt do it I call my daughter "My Ford with a Chevy engine... Not supposed to be that way but it works" When she was born she was very small at full term she was only 5 pounds 4 ounces. At her 1 week appointment they heard a loud murmer. Turns out she has: Dextrocardia: Heart on the wrong side of her chest] Transposition of the Great Arteries: Aorta and Pulmonary artery are reversed Congenitally Corrected Transposition: The Ventricals are switched .. that was done by the grace of G-d when she was still inutero. If it didnt switch, we would have been in deep (*&%^ Ventricular Septal Defect: Hole in the ventricular wall Pulmonary Stenosis: Pulmonary Artery is too small However the pulmonary artery being small and the hole being the size that it is, there is a balance that lets everything move smoothly for now, so the lungs are protected. As I said "Ford with a Chevy engine" |
